My Most Anticipated Reads of 2015

Hi there! Sorry, I haven't updated my blog since a long time. But I'm back now! :) I'd be posting more often.

I'm currently reading Since You've Been Gone and A Wind in the Door. I really like SYBG so far; however, A Wind in the Door is very uninteresting. I just can't bring myself into reading it. It might be because the plot is very slow, or that the book didn't meet my high expectations. I had liked A Wrinkle in Time (book #1 in the series) so much, and I really wanted to continue reading the whole series. But now, I don't think I'd read it any further.

Today I would show you guys my most anticipated reads of 2015. I'm dying to read these books! Some of them are on my June TBR list as well.

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

Sarah J. Maas is such an amazing writer. I can't get enough of her writing!

Synopsis

When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin—one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.

As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow grows over the faerie lands, and Feyre must find a way to stop it . . . or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

This is one of the books on my June TBR. I'm so excited to read it! I'd probably start it after Since You've Been Gone. :)
Synopsis

Under the Martial Empire, defiance is met with death. Those who do not vow their blood and bodies to the Emperor risk the execution of their loved ones and the destruction of all they hold dear.

It is in this brutal world, inspired by ancient Rome, that Laia lives with her grandparents and older brother. The family ekes out an existence in the Empire’s impoverished backstreets. They do not challenge the Empire. They’ve seen what happens to those who do.

But when Laia’s brother is arrested for treason, Laia is forced to make a decision. In exchange for help from rebels who promise to rescue her brother, she will risk her life to spy
for them from within the Empire’s greatest military academy.

There, Laia meets Elias, the school’s finest soldier—and secretly, its most unwilling. Elias wants only to be free of the tyranny he’s being trained to enforce. He and Laia will soon realize that their destinies are intertwined—and that their choices will change the fate of the Empire itself.

End of Days by Susan Ee

This is the 3rd book in the Penryn & the End Days trilogy. Fantasy is my favorite genre, and I'm really looking forward to reading it.
Synopsis

After a daring escape from the angels, Penryn and Raffe are on the run. They’re both desperate to find a doctor who can reverse the twisted changes inflicted by the angels on Raffe and Penryn’s sister. As they set off in search of answers, a startling revelation about Raffe’s past unleashes dark forces that threaten them all.

When the angels release an apocalyptic nightmare onto humans, both sides are set on a path toward war. As unlikely alliances form and strategies shift, who will emerge victorious? Forced to pick sides in the fight for control of the earthly realm, Raffe and Penryn must choose: Their own kind, or each other?

P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han

This is the sequel to To All the Boys I've Loved Before. I absolutely loved that book, and I can't wait to read more about Lara Jean and Peter!

Synopsis

Lara Jean didn’t expect to really fall for Peter.
She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren’t. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever.
When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean’s feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?

In this charming and heartfelt sequel to the New York Times bestseller To All the Boys I've Loved Before, we see first love through the eyes of the unforgettable Lara Jean. Love is never easy, but maybe that’s part of what makes it so amazing.

Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas

Ah! This is definitely my most anticipated read of 2015! It'd be published on September 1st, and I can't wait to get my hands on a copy! Throne of Glass series is so amazing! I definitely recommend it to all of you.

Synopsis

Everyone Celaena Sardothien loves has been taken from her. But she's at last returned to the empire—for vengeance, to rescue her once-glorious kingdom, and to confront the shadows of her past . . .

She will fight for her cousin, a warrior prepared to die just to see her again. She will fight for her friend, a young man trapped in an unspeakable prison. And she will fight for her people, enslaved to a brutal king and awaiting their lost queen's triumphant return.

Celaena’s epic journey has captured the hearts and imaginations of millions across the globe. This fourth volume will hold readers rapt as Celaena’s story builds to a passionate, agonizing crescendo that might just shatter her world.
